CDEM Training
All our volunteers are encouraged to undertake Civil Defence Emergency Management training. How much training a volunteer wishes to undertake is left to personal preference, however we have a requirement for a minimum level of training to:
- ensure that each volunteer is familiar with the role they may be required to undertake
- ensure that the Emergency Operations Centre functions as effectively as possible
- provide volunteers with pathways towards industry certificates and national qualifications on the NZQA framework
